Advancing the study of microbial symbionts of amphibians and reptiles

Application of amphibian-associated bacterial culture database (AmphiBac 2025.1) to studies of amphibian-associated microbiomes.

Doug Woodhams and NSF postdoctoral fellow Dr. Maggie Doolin introduce a new Topic: Symbiotic Microbiomes of Amphibians and Reptiles. They review recently published research and the AmphiBac 2025.1 database of cultured bacteria from amphibian skin. The Review is published in Frontiers in Amphibian and Reptile Science.
